Prospect research is a technique used by development teams to learn more about the personal backgrounds, giving histories, wealth indicators, and philanthropic motivations of your donors, allowing you to evaluate a prospect’s capacity to give and their affinity for your organization.

Apra-Wisconsin will be holding a fantastic and very affordable (it’s free!) summer networking opportunity, hosted by Greater Milwaukee Foundation. It will include a presentation from Marquette University and roundtable discussions on prospect research basics, professional development, and advocacy.

OR where to find the charitable giving code in an insider holding filing? Come learn about public SEC forms to identify and confirm wealth indicators. We’ll be exploring direct and indirect stock holdings, valuing restricted stock units, salary and other compensation including expense reimbursements and retirement compensation, company ownership/controlling interest and other assets. Forms we’ll review include: Forms 3 and 4, Proxies (DEF14A), ADV Forms (Investment Management Firms), brochures and more.
